Seeing Red

So far, this is my favorite look of the year!

I know that's a bold statement and it's early in 2016 but everything about this look, the fun bright red top with the gold accents, the over the knee boots, the chunky necklace.. I am in LOVE!

Two things about this look that are worth mentioning;

First: I love the ruffle peplum detail. It just makes the top fun flirty and it definitely hits the mark for an upcoming Valentine's Day celebration.

Second: These OTK Boots!!!!!!! I have been obsessed with boots that go just above the knee forever but I had never actually broke down and bought a pair... until now and WOW am I glad I did. I will be wearing these well into the Spring annnnddd probably into the Fall :) Do yourself a little favor and buy yourself a pair, you will not regret it!

A Black and White Classic

Happy Hump Day!!

I hope that everyone is having a fabulous week and making plans for an amazing weekend :)

There is nothing better than a simple black and white ensemble. It's easy and chic without trying to hard, the ultimate polished look. While I am in love with this whole look the star of this post is this beautiful Halogen top. I'm not exaggerating when I say it is definitely one of the softest tops I own.

My favorite FAVORITE part is the back, the detail on the back is so much fun and unexpected for such a classic style top. There are a few buttons right down the center with a sheer black finish from the mid drift down which makes it super flowy and flirty! This top is definitely a must have!

2016 Goals

So here's the thing, I wasn't originally going to write anything on my blog regarding resolutions for 2016, hence why it is officially well into the first week of the new year and I'm just now deciding to do it.
I hate the word resolution with regards to the New Year, I don't think labelling it in that way is healthy for myself. However, I am a firm believer in setting goals for myself, writing down these goals (say in a blog) puts it out into the universe and sets things in motion. So while this isn't my typical blog post, this is my way of putting things out there for the universe to do with what it will.
Here are a few goals I have set for myself for 2016:
Push myself in my career & business
Be less afraid of the unknown/ opinions
Create something new
Visit at least 2 new places
EAT LESS CARBS!!! (this may truly be my most difficult task)
So in conclusion: Bring it on 2016! I am excited to see what you have in store.
What is everyone else's goals for the New Year? Respond in the comments :)

New Year, New Dress!

HAPPY 2016!!

This is my first blog post of the new year and I am so excited that it was in collaboration with the fabulous Bailey Blue Clothing. They truly have the best clothes and I was so lucky to partner up with them for this New Year post and showcase this super cute dress.

First off, this dress has pockets.. HELLO! That's amazing!
and the fact that it is made of the coziest material ever didn't hurt. I also really love how the bottom of the dress flares out a little to give it a girly touch. It's definitely a dress that can be worn in a variety of ways, dressed up for date night or dressed down to run errands around town or even as a casual office look!

It's safe to say I give this dress two very enthusiastic thumbs up :)
