Homemade Snowballs

Hello Friends!!

My daughter is a GIGANTIC fan of all things Disney. We frequently have movie nights that typically are a Disney movie and one we've probably seen a MILLION times.. SO in order to keep things interesting, I like to try and spice up a repeat movie with a new treat to keep things lively!

Today is a particularly rainy day in the Bay Area (shocker, I know) and Peyton has requested (for the 1 millionth time) Frozen. Since I know every single line/ song in that movie I decided to mix it up with a fun sweet treat!

These "Snowballs" are basically rice krispie treats but instead of the cereal I used popcorn because it's what I had readily available at home, throw some blue sprinkles in there are VOILA a snowball even Elsa wouldn't get sick of.

Below is the super simple directions to replicate these little delectables that your little one will absolutely love!

 You will need the following:
1 pack of mini marshmallows
2 tbsp butter
1 package microwave popcorn or a bag of pre-popped popcorn
Blue or White sprinkles (I used both)

To Make:
Pop the popcorn according to directions. Pour popcorn into a large mixing bowl.

On your stovetop melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add about 3/4 bag of marshmallows (save some mallows for later) Stir until everything is perfectly smooth and melty.

Pour the marshmallow mixture over the popcorn and stir until the mix seems evenly distributed.
BE CAREFUL THE MARSHMALLOW MIX IS THE EQUIVALENT
 TO HOT LAVA!!

Once the popcorn marshmallow mixture is semi cool mix in the remaining mini marshmallows and sprinkles.

Once everything is fully cooled, take a handful and form it into a snowball! You can add more sprinkles if you see fit.

Place those bad boys onto some parchment paper so they don't stick and enjoy when ready!
