Winter Stripes

I love stripes! Incorporating stripes into a look can make it more fun and playful. When I stumbled upon this dress I knew I had to have it!

This dress has the perfect transitional appeal, you could wear it to work with a sensible shoe and cute accessories, then mix it up with a leather jacket and fun heels to wear out for cocktails.

I chose to style my adorable striped dress with a pair of heeled mules and a festive scarf and I love it! It was a comfy look I could wear all day long while still feeling chic.

Fuzzy Sweater Weather

 

 

There is nothing cozier than snuggling up in a nice, thick, plush sweater during the winter months. I have tons of fuzzy sweaters that I can only wear for such a short period of time (#SoCalProblems) but I love when I am finally able to bust them out of the closet!

 

This lovely ombre number is from Express and has been on repeat lately. I have worn it several times in a variety of ways but the way I have it styled here in my post is one of my favorites.

Rainy Days

Living in Southern California means I get a lot of fabulous weather and I am so grateful for all of my sunny beach days, however, I really REALLY love the rain! Rain is something we definitely do not get enough of, so when it finally starts to sprinkle out I get out all my cold weather gear and take it in while it lasts!

 

This cute little coat is perfect for a gloomy day, while it isn't rain resistant it is bright and fun and perfect for just throwing on if you aren't planning on being in the middle of a rain storm :)

 

Also, how adorable is my umbrella!? It is from Benefit Cosmetics and I just cannot get enough of it.

Mad for Plaid

 

 

I LOVE PLAID! There, I said it :) 

 

The section in my closet that holds all my plaid tops is exploding and I am happy to add this new button down to my collection.

 I love the classic red and black print, this top is especially fun because the inside of the collar and the underside of the sleeve has cute little pop of white polka dots to make things interesting.

 

Definitely giving off quintessential Fall vibes with this ensemble.

Kimono Weather

While it is Fall in most places, here in Southern California it has been on a streak of BLAZING heat! I have never been more ready for a rainy day in my life!

And though I am currently unable to wear cozy sweaters and tall boots, like I'd like to, I find these cute jewel toned booties and this thin kimono are doing the trick for now. I feel like I am doing a Southern California version of Fall dressing. 

I truly cannot recommend these booties enough. They are super comfy, and the heel is just the right height that you feel like you can wear them all day long all the while they are perfectly on trend for Fall in this beautiful wine color. You will be disappointed if you do not add these to your wardrobe.

Going Out

I'm so excited to share this look!

 I love this top, the lace up detail is so much fun. It was perfect touch for a date night out with the hubs. It felt like such an easy, cool outfit for a night out. 

My recipe for the perfect date night look is simple; a fun top to add a little spice, a comfy pair of jeans, a fabulous pair of shoes and whenever necessary throw on a leather jacket! I definitely nailed it with this ensemble.

Fine Wine

It finally feels like fall!! I could not be more thrilled. Fall is my absolute favor time of year, I love sweaters, boots, pumpkin spice lattes, just everything!

This post is definitely dedicated to my ideal fall uniform. A cozy sweater, a nice pair of jeans and a fabulous pair of boots. I love this sweater because it is so roomy and comfortable but more than that, this color is amazing! It's like a deep wine purple, which I have a feeling is going to be the color of the season. 

These jeans, I cannot get enough of these jeans! Express has really gotten the ladies jeans down. These are the mid rise legging and I truly feel like I could wear these all day and night. I hands down would recommend these to any woman who is interested in a comfortable skinny jean.
