Get Your Cotton On

Top: Cotton On; Jeans: Cotton On; Hat: Cotton On; Jacket: HRH Collection
Necklace: HRH Collection; Boots: NineWest

My first fashion post since my beautiful baby girl was born! It's been quite a transition for me, I'm still about two sizes larger than pre-baby and just was cleared to start my work out regimen to get my body back and I am beyond excited!

In the mean time, I just did my first post pregnancy shopping trip recently and found that Cotton On was a great place to start. All of their clothes are so comfortable and stylish while still being totally affordable. Almost every item of clothing from this post is from Cotton On, including my super cute floppy hat.

P.S How cute are my new fringe boots!?

Sound the trumpets, She has arrived!

Beanies: c/o Infanteenie Beenie; Blankets: Little Giraffe

Well folks, she has arrived! And of course, she showed up fashionably early.
4 weeks earlier than expected, my husband and I welcomed our daughter into world. Peyton Taylor Cowin was born on January 26th at 9:30am and I have never been happier to be so sleep deprived. She is the absolute sweetest and I am beyond excited to share a few snapshot of our perfect, pink princess.

The doctors and nurses were totally in love with her array of stylish beanies. A huge thank you to Infanteenie Beenie for gifting my daughter with such lovely headpieces. They are so well made and fit like a glove, I will definitely be saving each of these as keepsakes to show my little girl one day.

Tis the Season

I know it has been FOREVER since I have uploaded anything to the blog! I had been consumed with wedding season and being pregnant with my first little bundle of joy! My apologies for being neglectful. I figured what better way to reboot the blog than to start with my baby shower last Sunday. I was so blessed to have such a gorgeous baby shower at Lincourt Vineyard in Los Olivos, Ca which is located just outside of Santa Barbara. My little girl is so lucky to have so many people who already care for her so much and are excited to meet her. The lovely kiss print wrap dress I wore to my shower was from Pea in the Pod  and it was perfect! It was so comfortable and I got so many compliments.

I'm so excited to get back into the blogging world and keep everyone in the loop with the progress of my baby girl.

Stripes

As of lately, I have been watching re-runs of Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane on Netflix. I am always inspired watching women run a business and be the boss, plus it doesn't hurt that Kimora is hilarious in those old episodes. Any who, there was an episode that I watched recently where she shot her Baby Phat ad campaign in the Desert outside of LA and the shots turned out amazing (of course)! So I decided to pull from that inspiration and do my own shoot in the "Desert" or as close as I was willing to get to one.

On to the look in my photos, the dress I am wearing from Hive & Honey has to by far be the most comfortable tee shirt dress I own. So easy to throw on and dress up in any way appropriate for the occasion. I can officially say this  dress is going to be a staple of the next few months for me.

The Floral Railroad

I'm a sucker for a full skirt and Express always has the most fun and wearable versions. This skirt was no exception, the floral print is right on trend with the Summer season and paired with a comfy V neck tee made this look a no brainer for me. I love it!

The Perfect Maxi Skirt

Living in Southern California, I find that I am always on the hunt for a great summertime maxi skirt. The weather is perpetually warm with an occasional breeze which is ideal for a light, flowy skirt. Well, search no more my friends, I have found it! We hit some particularly warm weather this past week (over 100 degrees!) and this gorgeous skirt from Kora Rae was my saving grace on the warmest of those days. The material is so light it made this intense heat bearable. I really loved the pattern on the skirt, the colors are so vibrant you can't help but feel ready for summer.

Smile!!

This is truly one of my favorite looks, the skirt makes me want to twirl, the floral lace top is the perfect combination of Spring and girlie, overall this whole ensemble makes me smile. After all, isn't that what getting dressed everyday is about?!
I have been so excited to share this look with everyone, plus I have been dying to debut my new Kate Spade cross body bag and this was the perfect outfit pairing for it!
