Party Pants

It's Monday again! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. This weekend was a special one for me, I had a lovely visit from my younger brother who just turned 21 this past week! Such a milestone birthday and it was so much fun to be able to celebrate with him. The above photos are shots of the look I wore to our amazing celebratory dinner Friday night.

I bought these pants a little while back because I was immediately drawn to the pattern on them, they looked like a distorted floral print and I just couldn't resist, so when getting ready for our night out I thought these would be the perfect pants for such a fun occasion.

Life's a Beach

Hello my SS readers!

On Sunday mornings my husband and I like to pick a spot, grab some coffee and take a stroll. This gorgeous Sunday morning we decided on heading to the beach, I'm so glad we did! We had a great time walking on the pier and watching the fisherman and the surfers.

I decided on some casual wear that would keep me warm with the light breeze that comes with the morning beach air. Of course, my favorite way to give any look an extra pop is with a interesting shoe and today was no exception.

Top: JCrew; Denim: Citzens of Humanity: Shoes: NineWest (these are sold out, but I love this Steve Madden version): Sunnies: Chanel; Chevron Necklace: Express; Bracelet: Baublebar.

Spring Stripes

Spring has most definitely sprung! Today was an exceptionally warm day so the hubby and I took a drive down to Los Angeles and visited the Getty Museum. It was such a perfect way to spend a Sunday. Beautiful weather, fabulous art work and a little champagne with lunch, I couldn't have asked for a better day.

It also didn't hurt that I absolutely loved my look today. A striped skirt was perfect bold pattern for my fire engine red top. It was such a light easy skirt for such a warm day!

Neutrals with a Pop

There is nothing I love more than a crisp white top. It's so easy, while still looking chic and polished. This Michael Kors top definitely fit that criteria today, pairing it with these *super* comfy J Brand jeggings was the icing on the cake for my easy pulled together look. Of course, being me, I had to add a touch of color with a blue heel just to keep things interesting.

Be my belated Valentine

Hello My Fashion Lovers <3
Being in the events industry my holidays never seem to take place on the actual holiday. Valentine's Day was no exception, thankfully, my husband is very understanding (plus it gives him a few extra days to plan something spectacular)

On actual Valentines Day I managed an event at Firestone Vineyard in Los Olivos, Ca. It was a beautiful dinner in the winery's barrel room. It was absolutely stunning! I had a picture attached but for some reason it would not show up on the post :(

Now on to the important things, my Valentine's date ensemble!

The whole look is pretty much from Express, and I loved it!

Out with the Old, in with the Bold

Hello All! Happy NYFW!
If any of you are like me, you're hooked to your computer watching the live stream from fashion week, envious of those witnessing everything first hand. Being on a fashion high, I decided to do something drastic with my look. I chopped off 11inches of hair! I figured, I have had the same long flowing locks for as long as I could remember and since I have dubbed 2014 as the year of new and exciting things, I thought no better place to start than with my hair. I have to say, I am absolutely in love with my new look, the new short do feels sassy and more "fashiony" as I have been calling it.

While thinking of what my next post should be, my mind instantly went to this gorgeous pleated cobalt blue maxi skirt. A bold color with a bold new cut!

Gloomy Day Blues

The gloomy weather has finally hit the West Coast, well kind of. The last couple of days the sun has decided not to give my neighborhood much attention, so when the sun finally peaked through the clouds I made sure to get out and take advantage of it.

This look is definitely a go to for me, a loose fitting white top, comfortable jeans and a little flair with the shoes. The shoes I am wearing are absolutely some of the most comfortable I own! What is your go to look when you want to take it easy but get out of the house?

Trench Coat: H&M; Top: Nordstrom (similar here); Jeans: Citizens of Humanity; Shoes: Dolce Vita; Sunnies: Chanel (mine are an old pair, the link is the new seasons version); Necklace; Express.
