Casual Wear Queen

I feel as if I am becoming the master of casual wear :) My lifestyle has become that of hurrying around and constantly on a tight schedule, I feel like at any moment I am late to be somewhere, which means I have zero need to be dressed up. This post is about as dressed up as I get lately, a comfy cute top, pair of jeans and a pair of chunky heels (to make me look like an adult).

I cannot express how comfortable this flowy Michael Stars top is! It been perfect for those extra hot days we have been having here on the California Coast. I love Michael Stars, the brand is such a great staple for your basic, everyday wear. The quality is fantastic which means it will last! Sure, the price point may seem a little high for your basic tops and dresses but I truly believe that its worth it because you will have these items for a long time.

I always say, give me something loose fitting (ie a potato sack) and I'm happy! Well this top is the exactly that but just a million times cuter than a potato sack ;)

Feeling Blue

 

Like every other woman on the planet, I love a nice handbag. I have a very specific style that I like and I tend not to stray too far from my handbag comfort zone, typically a nice neutral shade that can transition seasons seamlessly and, being a mom, I tend to go for a larger bag to shove all the things my daughter might need in my bag on the way out the door.

I have to say I felt a little bold choosing a baby blue bag (I have never ever had a blue handbag before!) and once it arrived I couldn't imagine not having it! It's coming.... are you ready?!

The annual Nordstrom sale starts TOMORROW!! 

I can hardly contain my excitement :) Every year during this sale I gear up to start updating my wardrobe and transitional pieces from summer into Fall. 

One of the (many) pieces I picked up last year during the sale last year was this amazing white tunic. It's been my go to piece all year long, it's been so easy to layer for chilly Fall and Winter days but light enough for warm Spring and Summer days. This exact top is currently only $27!!!! Such a steal.

I cannot wait to pick up the other colors this year during the sale.

June Beauty Favorites

These are a few of my favorite things! As I am prepping to go full speed into July and all my July activities (4th of July party, my husbands bday, my bday.. needless to say it's a SUPER busy month), I wanted to share a few of my favorite little items that get me through all the craziness! 

1. My YSL color corrector - I use this under my eyes just about every day, I have a 1 year old and honestly feel like I haven't had a good night sleep in FOREVER. This corrector hides that perfectly :)

2. My Benefit Cosmestic Highlighter - This is seriously the best highlighter! I use it daily, even on my days that I don't wear any make-up its just something I throw on to give my face that fresh, dewy look that I love so much.

3. Clinique Moisturizing Spray - Speaking of a fresh, dewy look, this spray is something I apply all day long! It soooo refreshing, especially on a hot day.

4. Benefit Cosmetics Blush and Bronzer - I always use Benefit Cosmetics Blush and the shade Dallas is my fave. It's definitely worth a try.

5. Kendra Scott Earrings - Need I say more? these are beauties!

6. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm - LOVE LOVE LOVE this!! This shade is Beam of Blush and it's truly perfect. It also has a little bit of shimmer to it, and being the sparkle queen I am, I was immediately drawn to it. 

7. Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Gloss - This is the ultra non sticky gloss. I really liked how smoothly it went on and how it doesn't feel thick and goopy. This shade is Pink-a-Boo, I just love it!

8. Prada Candy Perfume - This has been my signature scent for years, it smells so fresh and clean. If you are someone who has bounced around to different perfumes trying to find your favorite, I would highly suggest giving this one a try.

Pink & Palms

There is nothing like a light, breezy dress on a hot summer day... and lately it has been HOT, like scorching! 

So while I am melting in the unbearable heat the silver lining is always a cute outfit :) and how cute is this palm print dress?! I adore over sized clothing so this flowy short dress was the perfect addition my summer wardrobe. 

On of my favorite style of shoe is a wedge sandal, they are so easy and comfy. The beauties are so comfy and fun, I am looking for every reason to wear them. Typically, I am not a bright color girl but these hot pink wedges speak to me. The just scream summer time!

Flower Child

Rule #1 in life: When you stumble upon a beautiful field of flowers you stop and take pictures! Which is exactly what I did, thankfully I always have a camera on hand for just such occasions :)

I also felt pretty lucky that my top happened to match one of those pretty rows. 

This pretty pink pastel top was a lifesaver today because recently the mornings have been cool with a light breeze but the afternoons have been brutally warm (like 100 degrees warm!). So this top was a great compromise to that sort of bi-polar weather, it's long sleeved but also extremely light and breathable, I truly wish I had this top in every color.

It Girl Edge

Can you believe May is almost over!!! Spring is officially turning into Summer which means beach days, ice cream cones, summer vacations and drinks with umbrellas in them... It also means.. IT'S THE NORDSTROM HALF YEARLY SALE!!!! This glorious occasion only comes but twice a year and is definitely something to rejoice :)
