Flower Child

Rule #1 in life: When you stumble upon a beautiful field of flowers you stop and take pictures! Which is exactly what I did, thankfully I always have a camera on hand for just such occasions :)

I also felt pretty lucky that my top happened to match one of those pretty rows. 

This pretty pink pastel top was a lifesaver today because recently the mornings have been cool with a light breeze but the afternoons have been brutally warm (like 100 degrees warm!). So this top was a great compromise to that sort of bi-polar weather, it's long sleeved but also extremely light and breathable, I truly wish I had this top in every color.

It Girl Edge

Can you believe May is almost over!!! Spring is officially turning into Summer which means beach days, ice cream cones, summer vacations and drinks with umbrellas in them... It also means.. IT'S THE NORDSTROM HALF YEARLY SALE!!!! This glorious occasion only comes but twice a year and is definitely something to rejoice :)

All That Glitters

 

I'm not going to lie to you guys, this is by far my favorite look to date!!

 

Having a blog has been so fun to watch my style transition and I am currently loving where my style is right now. I love that I'm not necessarily dressing like everyone else and I love that what I am wearing makes me feel a certain way. I feel super cool and confident! Currently, my style is very "doing me", wearing items I love regardless or what is "trendy".

 

The shoes I am wearing in this post are my new babies!! I want them in every color! They are super comfy and literally go with everything, I have been wearing them constantly since they arrived on my door step . They are just so fun :)

 

Now, the star of this post, this oversized, glittery cardigan! I CANNOT GET OVER IT! It's so cozy but such a stand out piece. The photos don't even do this cardi justice, it is literally one big sparkle.

Korean Face Products

This is a totally different type of post for me but it is something that I have become increasingly passionate about. Skin care is something that is a new obsession in my life and I HAVE to share my favorite masks and night cream. 

All the products that I have been using are Korean and they are the best I have ever tried. I have dabbled in masks and creams in various price points from the low end at your local Walgreens/CVS and as high end as Chanel night creams that cost an arm and a leg but I have to say the Korean products I have tried not only have incredible results but they are really affordable and accessable!

The first photo is of the prettiest mask :) its a brightening and lifting lace mask, and it rocked! Not only did it look kind of cool but it I saw and felt immediate results after the 20 minute period.

The second picture is my vast Korean mask collection (I wasn't lying, I'm obsessed and clearly a hoarder) but of all of those masks the best ones of all are the snail collagen masks, the results are incredible. If you are to try and of these masks I would start with the snail collagen mask, it will turn you into a Korean face product believer!

And last but certainly not least, is my nightly face cream, the pure farm pig collagen. I put a thick layer on every night after the shower and in the morning my skin is so soft and dewy looking, it is AMAZING!

TREND ALERT: Tie up tops are IN!! 

And I am loving it, clearly from my last post and now this one :)

This is just a casual look I wore to work and I truly loved it. 

I am really enjoy a high waist jean lately, they hug curves in all the right places and they truly look good on ALL body types. 

This look also exemplifies my go to styling technique which is taking a tight fitting item (in this case, my jeans) and pairing it with a loose fitting item (in this case, my top), it always looks super flattering and fashion forward. Tie it all together with a good shoe and you are ready to go!!

Shift Work

There is nothing better than a simple shift dress, just throw it on and dress it up or down. A shift dress can take you from cubicle to cocktails with a simple switch of the shoe, which is why I LOVE this dress!!

 

While this dress has all the makings of your every day shift dress, it has some fun twists to make it stand out amongst the masses. For example, the fun stripes and the tie up neck detail! Also, did I mention that it is only $20 :)
